Position Overview

We’re seeking a strategic Paid Media Manager who will serve as the primary point of contact between our agency and clients while working closely with our media buying team reporting directly to the Head of Paid Media,  This hybrid role combines strategic oversight, campaign implementation, team coordination, and exceptional client relationship management. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Google Paid Search with the ability to both execute campaigns and guide specialists toward optimal results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Campaign Management
• Develop comprehensive Google Paid Search strategies aligned with client goals
• Lead landing page optimization initiatives, including A/B testing of page concepts, messaging, and design elements
• Implement conversion based optimization strategies to improve campaign ROI and reduce cost per acquisition
• Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities
• Create detailed campaign briefs and strategic documentation for the media buying team
• Set KPIs, budgets, and performance benchmarks for all campaigns
• Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven optimization recommendations

Performance Analysis & Optimization
• Analyze campaign data to identify trends, insights, and optimization opportunities
• Review and leverage client CRM and sales data to evaluate the business impact of paid media efforts, including lead quality, pipeline contribution, and conversions
• Prepare comprehensive performance reports with actionable recommendations
• Conduct A/B testing across ad copy, landing pages, audiences, and bidding strategies to maximize conversion rates
• Collaborate with design and development teams to optimize landing page performance and user experience
• Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, and industry trends
• Optimize campaigns for maximum ROI and client satisfaction
• Identify upsell opportunities and expansion strategies within existing accounts

Client Communication & Account Ownership
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts
• Lead regular client meetings, presenting performance insights, strategic recommendations, and growth opportunities
• Translate complex PPC metrics and technical concepts into clear, actionable business insights
• Manage client expectations, timelines, and deliverables to ensure satisfaction and retention
• Proactively identify opportunities for account growth and expanded service offerings
• Build strong, long term relationships that position you as an essential partner in your clients’ success
• Educate clients on paid media best practices, emerging trends, and evolving search behaviors to support informed decision-making
• Own the overall success and growth of each assigned account

Team Coordination & Campaign Implementation
• Collaborate with media buying specialists assigned to your accounts
• Provide strategic direction and guidance to ensure campaign objectives are met
• Review and approve campaign setups, creative assets, and targeting parameters
• Implement campaigns directly when needed, maintaining hands-on platform expertise
• Coordinate with internal teams (creative, analytics, SEO) for integrated strategies
• Ensure quality control and adherence to best practices across all campaigns

Required Qualifications

Experience
• 5-7 years of agency experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
• 5-7 years of hands on experience managing Google Ads campaigns (Search, Display, Shopping)
• Proven track record of juggling multiple campaigns across different industries and client objectives
• Experience working with media buying teams or managing direct reports
• Demonstrated success managing monthly ad budgets of $50,000+

Technical Skills
• Expert-level knowledge of Google Ads platform (campaign setup, optimization, reporting)
• Strong understanding of paid search fundamentals (keyword research, match types, bidding strategies, Quality Score optimization)
• Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking
• Proficiency with data analysis and Excel/Google Sheets
• Familiarity with additional platforms (LinkedIn Ads, Microsoft Advertising) is a plus

Strategic & Analytical Skills
• Ability to develop comprehensive paid media strategies from scratch
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Experience with landing page optimization and conversion rate optimization (CRO)
• Proven ability to design and execute A/B tests that drive measurable improvements
• Experience with budget allocation and bid management strategies
• Understanding of customer journey mapping and funnel optimization
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights

Communication & Interpersonal Skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to present complex information to clients clearly and confidently
• Strong project management and organizational abilities
• Collaborative team player who can also work independently
• Client-focused mindset with a consultative approach

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Ads certifications (Search, Display, Shopping, Measurement)
• Experience with Meta advertising platforms (Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram) and Linked IN ads is a strong plus
• Meta Blueprint certifications, Knowledge of SEO, GEO, and AEO strategies
• Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM platforms
• Experience with incrementality testing or advanced measurement methodologies
• Background in e-commerce or lead generation verticals

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $60,000 to $85,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Profit Sharing: Aggressive commission package with no cap on earnings your success directly impacts your compensation
