The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Media Buyer who knows how to build, optimize, and grow Google Ads campaigns with intention. In this role, you will primarily work on Search, Performance Max, and Shopping campaigns, collaborating closely with Account Managers and the internal team via Slack. Keep in mind, there will be limited client facing calls…….although you may be pulled into calls from time to time with the account point of contact, which is the account manager.

You’ll be responsible for strategy execution, tracking, optimization, and reporting, while constantly looking for ways to scale winning campaigns, ads, and keywords.


Key Responsibilities

Google Ads Execution & Optimization

  • Launch, structure, and optimize Search, Performance Max, and Shopping campaigns for lead gen and eCommerce clients.
  • Manage accounts with budgets ranging from $100/day to $10,000/day, adjusting tactics based on spend levels and goals.
  • Continuously optimize campaigns over time, refining bids, keywords, audiences, and asset groups.
  • Scale winning ads and keywords while cutting wasted spend on low performers.
  • Proactively work to increase Quality Scores through better relevance, structuring, and alignment between keywords, ads, and landing pages.

Conversion Tracking & Technical Setup

  • Set up and maintain online conversion tracking using Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, and Google Analytics.
  • Implement and manage offline conversion tracking using various client CRMs (e.g., Pipedrive, HubSpot, Zoho, GoHighLevel, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Ensure tracking is reliable, accurate, and aligned with core KPIs.

Performance Max & Shopping Execution

  • Build structured Performance Max campaigns, testing asset groups and leveraging audience signals to improve performance.
  • Manage and optimize Shopping campaigns and product feeds in coordination with internal teams and Merchant Center.

Budget Allocation & Scaling

  • Make data-driven decisions on budget allocation and pacing.
  • Scale winning campaigns while controlling cost efficiency (CPA, CPL, ROAS).
  • Identify and act on opportunities for volume growth without sacrificing performance targets.

Testing, CRO & Landing Page Collaboration

  • Run A/B tests on bidding strategies, ad copy, audience targeting, and landing pages to uncover new performance lifts.
  • Work with copywriters and designers to improve CTR and conversion rates across ads and landing pages.
  • Suggest new campaign ideas and landing page concepts to Account Managers based on data insights and market opportunities.
  • Provide practical CRO feedback to improve funnel performance.

Analytics, Reporting & Insights

  • Create accurate, easy-to-understand performance reports using:
    • Google Looker Studio
    • Google Ads
    • Google Analytic
    • Build out custom PPTs to break down client reporting
  • Use platform data, conversion tracking, and analytics to identify trends, diagnose issues, and recommend strategic changes.

Slack-Based Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate primarily via Slack, providing clear performance updates, insights, and next steps to Account Managers and internal team members.
  • Document key optimizations, tests, and learnings so the team always has visibility into what’s happening in each account.

Stay Current

  • Keep up with Google Ads trends, new features, and automation tools, and recommend ways to leverage them for client performance.

Who You Are

  • Experienced Media Buyer with at least 3 years of hands-on Google Ads management, especially in Search, Performance Max, and Shopping.
  • A data-driven optimizer who can interpret performance data and turn it into impactful decisions.
  • A strong Slack communicator, confident in explaining strategies, KPIs, changes, and issues via written updates.
  • An independent executor who doesn’t need micromanagement and takes ownership of performance and timelines.
  • Process oriented and detail focused, keeping campaigns structured, organized, and well-documented.
  • A creative collaborator who knows how to brief copy and creative teams, aligning visuals and messaging to performance goals.
  • Organized and outcome-driven, able to juggle multiple accounts while hitting deadlines and driving real results while maintaining 10+ accounts.
